CAT’S EYE (1985)

Cat’s Eye was released on April 12, 1985. A stray cat wanders through three spooky tales, two of which are based on Stephen King stories, and the third is an original tale. It was filmed mostly in North Carolina around Wilmington.

I got a photo of one house during a trip to Wilmington in 2022 when I happened to go right by it, but I didn’t do a deep dive into the locations until 2025 when I decided to do a whole Stephen King-themed trip to Wilmington. Most of these locations are within walking distance of each other downtown, with the exception of General’s house which is a couple of miles away.

Other Stephen King movies filmed in the area include The Night Flier, Maximum Overdrive, Firestarter, and Silver Bullet.
