
The Skeleton Key was released to theaters on August 12, 2005. It was filmed in New Orleans and Vacherie, Louisiana. The plantation home used for exteriors is Felicity Plantation in Vacherie. It’s open for tours, and has been used in numerous other productions including 12 Years a Slave and Roots.
