Dr. Giggles was released on October 23rd, 1992. It stars Larry Drake as the murderous title character, and Holly Marie Combs as his newest target after he escapes from the hospital he was being held in. Glenn Quinn, famous for his role as Mark Healy in Roseanne, also appears.
It was filmed in Portland, Oregon. The amusement park featured in the movie is Oaks Amusement Park in Portland, though I did not visit that location. Additionally, the Tarawood Mental Hospital location has been demolished and is now an unrecognizable apartment complex, so I did not visit that location either. It was located at 8212 NE Sandy Blvd in Portland.

I could not find any information about the location of this house, other than reading somewhere that it was in the Eastmoreland neighborhood of Portland. I started searching Google Maps and it didn’t take too long to track it down!

I was a little unsure about this location. They did build the facade of Dr. Giggles’ house in Metzger Park, but the shot showing the street and curb in front of the house threw me off. It would seem to make most sense at the end of the road where the driveway to an apartment building is (2nd pic), but that does not match up with where the facade was supposedly built. I wondered if the curb was part of the set and was built further up, as shown in the third picture, but I am really just not sure on this one.

Very cool you found her house that is one I couldn’t find on google maps. I was having a hard time trying to figure out where the house she runs to from dr giggles house. That is definitely not in that neighborhood by the park.
Thanks! I found a comment somewhere that mentioned a neighborhood they filmed in so that’s how I found her house.
I had a hard time matching up the park locations as well. I agree it was not near there!
I lived nearby when they built the faux house in Metzger park and went over once while they were filming. They built a very short “road” in front of the house and had a huge painted backdrop at the end of it. It would give the illusion of an actual residential street in the background when filming shots that didn’t really focus on the street. Then they would shoot on an actual street for those specific scenes. Ones where you didn’t see the house anymore. I would guess the street they used was probably in Portland as it looks like that area and they filmed so much of it in the Portland area. Haven’t seen the movie in a while but plan on watching the Joe Bob Briggs Last Drive-In version this weekend for some B Movie Bingo fun!
