Piranha 3DD was released on June 1, 2012. Piranha 3D filmed in Arizona, but 3DD relocated to North Carolina. The water park is located at Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park in Wilmington.
On my very first filming locations trip to the Wilmington area, I passed right by Jungle Rapids. I knew it was the location, so I decided to stop by. The water park was closed for the day, but they were nice enough to let me snap a photo out there.
