I was running out of horror locations around Atlanta… no I’m just kidding. My Super Psycho Sweet 16 isn’t great cinema or anything, but I found it generally entertaining for what it is and I actually really liked the roller rink setting and the killer’s costume. The Roller Dome was filmed at the Yaarab Shrine Center in Atlanta, which was surprisingly difficult to get into because of their odd hours and the heavy gates fully surrounding the property. I tried once or twice on the weekends and found it closed, but finally had luck going over one Friday afternoon when I got off work early. Fun fact: I found some behind the scenes stuff during my location research that mentioned the Roller Dome sign was added digitally in post-production.
