I know I said on the home page of this site that living near Atlanta triggered my location obsession, but I also think The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is responsible for a decent chunk of it as well. This series has always been one of my favorites, and I vividly remember looking at the pictures on TexasChainsawMassacre.Net when I was like… 12… and thinking I definitely wanted to go to those places one day. I insisted on stopping by the Hewitt house during a road trip in 2012, and in 2019 I returned to finally visit all of the locations.
UPDATE
I revisited some of these locations in October of 2024. Everything more or less appears the same, though I’m a little worried for a couple of these locations if I’m being honest. The gas station and Blair Meat Co. are both currently closed for business. The Old Crawford Mill is still there, but appears to have new owners and has been fenced off, so unfortunately I was not able to get any new matching pictures there. There are a few new sheds on the property and it looks like some kind of work is being done.

As of October 2024, this location is now fenced off with No Trespassing signs everywhere. There are new sheds on the property and it looks like some kind of work is being done.
