PET SEMATARY II (1992)

Once again, a sequel comes to Georgia for filming instead of the original locations. I actually thought they did a good job of making it seem like the same locations even though the original was filmed in Maine. In fact, I’m not even sure I knew or realized it was Georgia the first time I watched it. I’ve always liked Pet Sematary II, it’s not as “good” as the first one but it still has a lot of zaniness and good stuff to recommend.

While most of the burial ground scenes were filmed at Arabia Mountain (see below), this particular shot was filmed at Stone Mountain. This spot is on the east side of the mountain near the quarry area.

When I looked up the address for this post, I found that the gas station has been heavily remodeled since the time of my visit and no longer looks the same.
