Blood Rage AKA Nightmare at Shadow Woods AKA Slasher was filmed in 1983 in Jacksonville (and New Jersey), but was not released until 1987. Louise Lasser & Mark Soper star as mother and twin sons, one of which is slashing his way through the residents of their apartment complex.

The drive-in has been demolished and a Wal-Mart stands in its place. Not much to see here. Some of the drive-in scenes were also filmed at 2821 NJ-35 in Hazlet, New Jersey.

At the time of my visit, these apartments were called The Cove at Peninsula. At the time of filming, they were known as Cedar Cove.
The building in the images below is actually part of the apartment complex right next door, Bayside at Peninsula. It is right next to the tennis courts.

The pool was filmed at a separate apartment complex, now called The Colony at San Jose. At the time of filming, they were called the La Mirada apartments. I was only able to snap this pic through the door.
