Halloweentown premiered on the Disney Channel on October 17, 1998. Kimberly J. Brown and Debbie Reynolds star as Marnie Piper and Aggie Cromwell, granddaughter-and-grandmother witches who have to team up to save Halloweentown from the evil Kalabar. It was followed by three sequels: Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge (2001), Halloweentown High (2004), and Return to Halloweentown (2006).
The first movie was filmed in Oregon, with the town of St. Helens filling in for Halloweentown. Much of the filming took place right around the town square, and they even throw a Halloweentown festival every October, complete with the big pumpkin set up near the courthouse. I visited in July, so I didn’t get to see any of that, but it was still very cool to see.
Marnie’s house and neighborhood was filmed in Scappoose, while Aggie’s house is located in Portland. Unfortunately the angle seen in the movie is not visible from the street, so I couldn’t match it up exactly.

The house seen in the movie has been demolished and rebuilt, but the church steeple is still (barely) visible in the background.

This location is also briefly seen as a school in Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006).

Many of the other shots of the shops in Halloweentown were filmed right in front of the courthouse as well.

I could not get a view of the correct side of the house, so this is as close as I could get.
