Rings (or The Ring 3) was released on February 3, 2017. Somehow I complete missed that this was filmed in Georgia, or I would have had these photos a lot sooner! And also… I never actually saw this movie until I found out it was filmed in Georgia. The negative reviews scared me off, but I actually thought it was fine. But I love these kinds of movies and I’m an easy critic, so… your mileage may vary!
It actually had a bunch of cool locations to photograph as well. It was filmed mostly around Newnan, with some other spots in Grantville, Decatur, and Atlanta itself.

This is “Building A” on Emory University’s Briarcliff campus. It was formerly the Georgia Mental Health Institute from 1965 to 1997. The building itself is mostly abandoned, though the campus is not, and has also been seen in Stranger Things.
