Mutant was released to theaters on August 24, 1984, under the title Night Shadows. It was renamed Mutant when it was released on home video. It stars Wings Hauser and Lee Montgomery as two brothers who get stranded in a small southern town and discover that the residents are being turned into bloodthirsty mutants by a nearby chemical factory.
