I never in a million years would have guessed how much I would love a sequel to The Shining. I had not read the book when the movie was released, but I went to see it opening day anyway and I was blown away. I thought it was excellent, really well done by director Mike Flanagan. I completely agree with his assessment that linking it to the movie version of The Shining was the way to go, and the way he combined all the different source material was just really cool. It was a Shining nerd’s dream come true! And I’m not mad that it was filmed all over Georgia, including my hometown of Covington.
