Like Sleepaway Camp 2, Part 3 relocated from Georgia to New York for filming, and it was actually filmed back-to-back with Part 2 at the very same camp. I recruited one of my friends to accompany me to this rural spot, and we called the number on the For Sale sign and got permission to go back and explore. The land is extremely overgrown, so it was difficult to find some of the buildings that still stand, but I was able to get some shots of the lake and the road going in. I’ve also included a few other pictures that I couldn’t screen match to give a better idea of what the land looks like now.
The land has been sold since my visit, but I would still love to go back and get some better pictures. It is leased to a hunting club, so PLEASE exercise caution if you choose to visit here, and do your best to get permission as well since it is privately owned. Also, it was literally CRAWLING with snakes, especially around the pool. I mean, you could simply gaze around and see multiple snakes slithering into the overgrowth. I don’t know what I was thinking.
