BLACK CHRISTMAS (1974)

Black Christmas was originally released in Canada on October 11, 1974. A US release followed in May 1975 under the title Silent Night, Evil Night before being released again as Black Christmas. It also aired on TV under the title Stranger in the House. It stars Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder, and Andrea Martin as sorority girls terrorized by an unseen killer over Christmas break.

I visited the Black X-Mas (2006) house in 2022 in Vancouver, and of course I always wanted to add the house from the original to my list. It was filmed in Toronto, and was at the top of my list for when I made it there.

The sorority house is a private home in Toronto that was built in 1907. It’s obscured by trees, but luckily the leaves were still mostly dead so I got an okay view of the house! The campus featured in the movie is the University of Toronto.
