The Poltergeist remake was released on May 22, 2015. Pretty much a straight remake of the original, it follows a family having to rescue their youngest daughter from the spirit world after pesky ghosts invade their house.
Unlike the original which was filmed in California, the remake was filmed in Canada. The main house is located in Hamilton, Ontario. The infamous haunted tree was added just for the movie, but it otherwise still appears very much the same.
