DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004)

Dawn of the Dead was released on March 19, 2004. It’s a remake of George Romero’s 1978 movie in which the survivors of a zombie invasion take cover in a shopping mall. The remake is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames.

The original movie was filmed in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, but the remake was filmed in Canada. The mall interiors were filmed at the Thornhill Square Shopping Center in Thornhill, Ontario. After filming, the portion of the building that was used in the movie was demolished.
