The house featured in The Next Generation has been in a couple of other movies as well. The interior was used in Flesh and Bone (1993), and it also appeared in Tornado! (1996) and the horror movie Mercy Black (2019). It is just a few miles away from the gas station featured in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003).
UPDATE
I revisited some of these locations in October of 2024. The main family’s house still looks pretty much the same as the last time, but I also was able to get photos of the high school where the prom is held, and the location where Darla’s trailer was located.
