Hatchet II was released to theaters on October 1, 2010 and on DVD on February 1, 2011. I always enjoyed this one even more than the first, and thought the expanded backstory on Victor Crowley was really well done. And of course it didn’t skimp on the gore either.
Much like the first one, only limited filming was actually done in the New Orleans area. They return to Reverend Zombie’s shop from the first movie, although the interior scenes were filmed on a soundstage in California. Other than a few other establishing shots, there really was not too much to see in New Orleans.

This location is now the Vampire Apothecary Restaurant & Bar. Reverend Zombie’s has re-opened in a new location just around the corner at 713 Royal St.
