Carrie was released on October 18, 2013. It stars Chloe Grace Moretz in the title role, with Julianne Moore as Margaret White and Judy Greer as Miss Desjardin. Once again, Carrie is a bullied outcast with telekinetic powers, and they come out in full force after her classmates play an awful prank on her at her prom.
I’m a huge Carrie fan. I love the story in any form – the book, the original movie, the 2002 TV movie, and I even love The Rage: Carrie 2. So yes, I also love the 2013 version as well. I do wish it had been closer to the book and less of a scene-for-scene remake of the original, but the story is so good that of course it still works. This time it was filmed in and around Toronto, Ontario.
