TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D (2013)
Texas Chainsaw 3D was released on January 4, 2013. It was filmed in Louisiana rather than Texas. I originally visited some of the locations in July of 2019. I revisited some of the locations in October of 2024 and was also able to get photos of some that I missed on the previous trip. Movie…… Continue reading TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D (2013)
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 (1986)
Luck was not on my side when it came to Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. For starters, many of the locations in this movie are simply no longer there. Texas Battle Land, the great abandoned amusement park setting, has been gone since shortly after the movie was filmed and is now an RV park I believe.…… Continue reading THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 (1986)
THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE (1974)
The first time I went to Texas was in 2012 on a road trip, and though I managed to stop by the Hewitt house from the 2003 remake of TCM, I didn’t see any locations from the original. I always wanted to go back, and I finally did in 2019. I actually stayed at one…… Continue reading THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE (1974)
TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE NEXT GENERATION (1994)
The house featured in The Next Generation has been in a couple of other movies as well. The interior was used in Flesh and Bone (1993), and it also appeared in Tornado! (1996) and the horror movie Mercy Black (2019). It is just a few miles away from the gas station featured in The Texas…… Continue reading TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE NEXT GENERATION (1994)
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING (2006)
Not much to say about this one, seeing as it mostly just re-uses the locations from the 2003 movie. I didn’t like this one as much, though I thought it was still generally entertaining. Just a missed opportunity to do something more interesting with a prequel. UPDATE I was able to revisit some of these…… Continue reading THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING (2006)
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2003)
I know I said on the home page of this site that living near Atlanta triggered my location obsession, but I also think The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is responsible for a decent chunk of it as well. This series has always been one of my favorites, and I vividly remember looking at the pictures on…… Continue reading THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2003)
GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN (2018)
3 years and even more script & title changes after the original, Goosebumps 2 returned to Georgia for filming. This time they came even closer to home, filming several scenes in my hometown of Covington. Like the first movie, I enjoyed it for what it was, even if it was noticeably lacking in any new…… Continue reading GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN (2018)
